Closed Captions

How to Enable or Disable Closed Captions

Please note that closed captioning is only available if and when the studios provide them.

Please check our list of supported devices below for steps on how to turn on and off closed captioning


 

Web Browser

  1. Log in to the site and start playing a screener.
  2. Click on the cc symbol (for Closed Captioning) located at the bottom right of the player window (second icon on the right).
                                   
  3. A list of language options should pop up. 

                                  
  4. Scroll and click on your preferred language for closed captioning. If the language is highlighted in blue, then the selected language should be set for subtitles.

                                  
  5. If you do not want closed captioning, just click on captions off.
                             
                                  


 

Apple TV App 

  1. Log in to the app and start playing a screener.

  2. With your Apple TV remote, scroll over until the speech bubble is highlighted with a white circle and click on it (first option on the bottom right hand corner of the player).

                                          

  3. A list of languages will appear under Subtitles.

                                                                         

  4. Scroll and click on your preferred language. Once there is a check mark next to your language of choice, you can click anywhere on the screen to get back to the video.

  5. To turn off the closed captioning, follow steps 1-3. Scroll down and click "Off".




 

iOS App

  1. Launch the app and start or play a screener.
  2. Find and click on the Captions button located at the bottom right hand corner of the player.

                                                                                         
  3. Scroll and click on your preferred language. Once there is a check mark next to the language you want, you can click anywhere on the screen to get the screener back.

                                         
  4. To turn off the closed captioning, follow steps 1-3. Scroll down and click Off.

                                         




Roku Channel 

You can only turn on closed captions during streaming.

  1. Log in to the appropriate channel and start playing the screener.
  2. Bring up your options by pressing the asterisk "*", or star button on the remote.
  3. Scroll down and click on Closed captioning.
  4. Click on On always.
  5. To turn off closed captions, follow steps 1 to 3 and click on Off.




Android Device

Streaming on android devices is only supported through the Google Chrome web browser. Please follow steps for the Web Browser .
